If the buzz in trade circles is anything to go by, Anushka Sharma, who has impressed Karan Johar with every performance of hers including the ones in Band Baaja Baraat and Bombay Velvet, has been approached by the filmmaker for his next as a director. If all goes well, she will play the lead opposite Ranbir Kapoor. The actor, for the longest, was on Karan’s wishlist. Incidentally, the actor and the filmmaker are pitted against each other in Anurag Kashyaps Bombay Velvet.
Joining the gang is Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The 42-year-old filmmaker has often expressed his desire to work with the former beauty queen and gorgeous Bachchan bahu and mother. The duo even shot pictures together at the Bachchan familys Diwali bash, sparking off rumours of them working together.Not much is known about the project, except that it's a mature love triangle that Karan has been penning for the last two years.
